Well it did have yellow legs and I thought it looked pretty great......... however when I just went to submit..... it came up as "rare"..... arg! Please tell me what it is then?

O.K.... I had to choose something for a species - so I chose orange-crowned warbler since maybe this is the closest? (though I don't see the orange crown...). If anyone knows what this is for sure please let me know and I'll change it!

First glance - a blue vulture! Poor guy - pretty ugly at the moment. Does anyone know why some are like this? I've read conflicting theories...... nestmates pecking them, infestation of mites, a "bad" moult, poor nutrition, etc, etc. Anyway - this guy comes every day for peanuts - finally got a picture of him in my neighbours little oak tree. His feathers have grown in some - he was totally bald a couple weeks ago. There's another that comes that has about 1/2 it's head-feathers.

This was exciting to me as it's the first one I've ever seen! I took the picture yesterday - I heard it first.... it seemed distressed and was making a sick-cat type sound. My husband went back to that spot again today, and it was still there today, in the same tree, making the same sound.
