I think this is a pretty rare sighting for my area....I spotted him at my thistle feeder. It definately was a pine grosbeak, the size coloring, tail bars, and everything matched up. I was able to study him through my binoculors for about five minutes. I'm not positive if it might have been a juvenille male or full adult male.....

I actually did not see this one, but late tonight I heard him calling nearby.....he called for about 15-20 min. :) I'm positive it wasn't another bird mimiccing his call....he kept singing it repeatedly, slower then faster, then slower again.
