Details RARE
Notes We were camping near Tofield (Black Nugget Lake) and saw several of these..... warblers, shorebirds - aaaaa! ha ha! So.... is this a greater yellowlegs? Well it did have yellow legs and I thought it looked pretty great......... however when I just went to submit..... it came up as "rare"..... arg! Please tell me what it is then? ;-) Joanne

Yep! It is a Greater Yellowlegs. The only other thing it could be is a Lesser Yellowlegs. Do you see how the bill is slightly larger in comparison with a Lesser, and the bill also has a slight upward curve to it, and the bill also has a gray base. Hope that helps!
