Details COMMON (LARGE NUMBERS)
Notes A young Evening Grosbeak on my finger in Jarvie. I'm in the yard all time and the birds are getting friendly. I've had a Siskin, Chickadee, Nuthatch and Downy Woodpecker land on me. Some don't even move when I fill up the feeders. It must be the hat. lol

Great picture! It would be interesting to see if they behaved differently, if you filled the feeders with your hat off! The only problem is, they may land on your head and poop! :o))

I've tried it without my hat and they don't know who I am. It's defintely the hat, and maybe the food. lol

oh my goodness..... a grosbeak on your hand? That is soooo neat - how exciting !! I've managed that with chickadees and nuthatches, but certainly never a grosbreak - way to go!! :-) joanne

What a hoot! Makes me think every self-respecting birder ought to get a hat like that ;)
