-in "nomal" years, which we are not experiencing in the last part of April in Edmonton, the swallows begin to arrive sometime around the 22nd; Tree swallows were the ones that we saw first around urban areas during this arrival; is your arrival on time in your area?

That was my first sighting of Barn Swallows. However, others have noted them within the past 2 weeks. I've been seeing Tree Swallows for about a month. I've always seen Tree Swallows in greater numbers.
