I had a hard time identifying this. I think it was a juvenile Robin. It was a brown/rust color with muted spots on the tan breast and about the same size as a Robin only stouter.
-juvenile Robins tend to have distinct spots on an orangish breast with grayer back and tail; other Thrush possibilities to look for would be, a Veery or a Swainson's Thrush, who both have rust backs with pale spotting; the Hermit Thrush has a rust tail, more distinctive spots and tends to "bob" its tail.
