Ahh. Yes, you can also easily confuse then with the White-crowned Sparrow. A simple mistake. They are beautiful sparrows though. Both of them.

-if you hear him sing politically, often first in the morning or last in the evening: USA- "Old Sam, Peabody Peabody Peabody" CAN- " Sweet Sweet, Canada Canada Canada" :):)

Yes, I hear them all through the day here! I also see them at my feeders all throughout the day. Even though I live in Missouri, I prefer the Canada version.
