-swarming phenomenon after a major winter storm that hit Alberta; first day of relief from heavy snowfall, high winds and blowing snow; these flocks were moving in waves through trees in backyards! I suspect that they hide in heavily forested areas adjacent to urban areas during the storm and then disperse to the urban areas when the storm ends, to forage on last years fruit and berry crops.

Holy cow - that's a lot of robins!! And yes it sure is nice to have relief from winter now! It wasn't fair that we had a false summer a few weeks ago just to do this to us....again! Joanne
