Anastasia State Park
| About | "Located just south of historic St. Augustine on Anastasia Island, has 4 miles of pristine beach, a tidal salt marsh, and maritime and upland hammock. Nature trails meander through the ancient dunes shaded by hammock forest. Florida State Parks are open 8 a.m. until sundown 365 days a year." *Note: If you go on the beach, make sure to wear either tall mud-boots or no socks n' shoes at all. |
| Notable birds | Not sure what is uncommon exactly...but this is my total bird list: Tricolored Heron, Snowy Egret, Semipalmated Plover, Willet, Sanderling, Ruddy Turnstone, Dunlin, and Laughing Gull. |
